Free eWaste Drop-Off Recycling Service

Do you have any unwanted portable electronic items that you no longer need?

From 9:00am to noon on selected Saturdays at various locations we will accept the following items for recycling:

  • All hand held electronic items
  • Microwave ovens
  • Televisions, VCR’s, DVD players, stereos
  • Mobile phones
  • Computers, printers, fax machines
  • Portable kitchen appliances

Conditions apply:

  • The service is for residents use only
  • No commercial quantities will be accepted
  • Residents must provide ID to staff on disposal of goods
  • Acceptance of product is at the sole discretion of the collection agent
  • No white goods will be accepted
  • No trailers will be accepted

E-Waste can be dropped off at both the Salamander Bay Recycling Centre and Waste Transfer Station on an ongoing basis. (no monitors or TV’s accepted). Residents of Cessnock, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Muswellbrook and Newcastle can access the eWaste service using dedicated collection bins located at their respective Council Waste Management Facilities. Operating times and access condition inquiries should be directed to your local council.

  •  If you are disposing of a computer, remember it is your responsibility to ensure that all private or confidential data is removed from the hard drive prior to disposal.
  • Weight limits do apply.
  • Strictly for residents use only and commercial loads will be turned away.
